Now that's what I call a varied selection, thanks Melissa! 😊The destruction of those archives is pretty unbelievable though...I would have thought a military museum might want to take on the files rather than lose important historical records.
Followed you for photography and this week I found:
- news of somebody whose blog I read has a controversial past :-( and now works for the WH :-( - but countered by a Pixies cover and
- a Sesame Street Tiny Desk
I'll take the positives.
The archive destruction is a difficult one. Film seems more "permanent" than digital, but the method and decisions for storage both have so many factors. The cost and cataloguing burden for film is a worry.
Let's take the small wins wherever we can, Irv! And if you're a Pixies fan, then we could be friends IRL too. :) Also, this whole album is good, but I especially love the OK Go! cover of Gigantic. https://americanlaundromatrecords.bandcamp.com/track/gigantic
How have I never seen that Sesame Street Tiny Desk Concert! Delightful!

Wow, so much to digest here today! I did not know that about Patrick Witty! Bummer… oh, thank you for sharing my Leporello here! Very kind! ☺️
Your books are SO good. Thank you for sharing!
