A beautiful still life to photograph too. I can see something emerge from those faded pages. But yes, it still sucks that it got sumbmerged in the water.

I don't discriminate and love Field Notes equally as much. This just happened to be a Moleskine that I got in a 3-pack a while back. Also, if you'd like to send me some Field Notes to use in the future... I'm open and accepting of all notebooks. :)

My dogs once broke a beautiful raku pot that I loved. Shattered into a million pieces. I photographed it to try to salvage and retain some beauty from it. Perhaps you could do something similar here? Regardless, this stinks. I'm sorry.

Oh nooo so sorry this happened to you! A great, positive spin on it, but a shame nonetheless.

You definitely make a great point about how writing something down gives it value and staying power. Whenever I'm giving my students any information, I always remind them: verba volant, scripta manent (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Verba_volant,_scripta_manent)
