Here are five things I looked at and loved (enough to share) this week:
The Top 50 Productivity Hacks chosen by the internet (and you) include a bunch of small things we can do like: creating a routine if you work from home, drinking more water, removing social media apps from your phone, turning notifications off, and keeping your phone out of the bedroom and the one above.
On a related note (esp. to the image at the top) I love this video of Ray Bradbury talking about his 1000-night plan for being more creative.
I heard a great quote by Rolf Potts on a podcast recently about how as a seasoned traveler he approaches a new city (and it’s super applicable to exploring where you live, as well) and liked it so much that I wrote it down. “Walk until the day becomes interesting.” Which, of course, then led me down the flâneur rabbit hole.
A recurring theme around here is: How to Make, and Keep, Friends in Adulthood.
How to Have Fun Again is a wonderfully illustrated piece. Now go have fun!
“Walk until the day becomes interesting.” Love that one from Rolf Potts. Thank you!
Thanks for those links our to walking, experiencing and being a flaneur. They reminded me that on a recent trip to Port (Portugal), my desire to experience the city through walking and serendipity was in conflict with the way others in my party like to travel almost superficially, via tourist checklist.
