Between the never-ending news cycle of death and destruction and some personal sh*t going on (mainly the boy starting daycare and lasting two days before getting a cold turned fever turned ear infection which then kept him out of daycare for a week before the sickness spread through the rest of the household) to the busiest week of work I’ve had all year… it’s been a weird week of ups and downs.
Here are 5 things I was looking at this week that reflect those highs and lows:
Like many, I’ve been consumed, outraged, and heartbroken reading about the war raging between Israel and Gaza. The NYT put out a good reminder about the disinformation campaign that’s also raging. My good friend Kathleen Flynn posted a bunch of great photographers to follow who are on the ground there currently covering this conflict on both sides. In Gaza: Samar Abu Elouf and Wissam Nassar. And in Israel: Tamir Kalifa and Avishag Shaar-Yashuv.
Why the Internet Isn’t Fun Anymore
