On my birthday, I set out to ride 46 miles in honor of turning 46, but I like round numbers and it was a gorgeous day, so I decided to keep going for a half-century (50 miles)… because why not!? I also treated myself to a pair of shoes that I’ve been eyeballing for months and to the most ridiculous pair of sunglasses. As a foodie, I’m prone to picking some Michelin-star restaurant or going all out on special occasions, but this year I wanted to check out a West African spot near us. These are not super exciting, but they are little things that make me happy.
