Noah Kalina on feeding the beast that is social media: “you’re easily influenced by what you see and that’s the kind of thing you want to make for that platform” and what that did to him. And later in the podcast, Noah also reminded me of how much I wanted a Toto Washlet (read: bidet) when I got back from a trip to Japan. Putting that back on the Xmas wish list right now.

Oh, and about those images at the top… I love a good rabbit hole. I randomly googled bicycles in the Library of Congress which led me to bicycle posters (gorgeous, I may make some prints for my office walls) which led me to bicycle propaganda posters (I had no idea this was a thing) which led me to straight up propaganda posters (yes, most are racist and play into awful stereotypes) which led me to travel posters (again, gorgeous but also weird and wonderful and dreamy and colorful).
