Happy Friday, y’all. Let Prince help carry you into the weekend with style.
I took the last two weeks off (was busy with life and traveling for work, and also feeling tired and uninspired), but I’m back, recharged and ready to share a roundup of 5 things I was looking at and loving this week.
The picture below is a friendly reminder to look at the world with all of the awe and wonder of a 3-year-old with a star projector.
“I believe the only true knowledge is through experience.” - Duane Michals, RIP
Across all the boroughs, from Central Park to the Staten Island Ferry to street parties and rooftops, bodegas and barbershops, and even inside Rikers Island, where inmates with records of good behavior were granted a viewing — it is fun watching New Yorkers watch the Knicks. Well done, NYT.
Artist Christine Tyler Hill took a job as a crossing guard and turned her observations into an art project. I love this so much, I just ordered her zine.
Happy futbol time to those who celebrate. I was just reminded of the genius of Magnum photographers documenting the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
